First day of college, tomorrow!?

What should I expect and what do I need to bring?

Do I need to bring my books or what?

Tomorrow's classes are English 101, Speech 106, and Economics 231. My classes start at 9:30 and end at 2pm. What should I expect.

I have visited the college and I know where I need to go. I am a little nervous though.

I've been in college for four years and I never bring my books on the first day. Actually I rarely have to bring my books to class throughout the semester. Alot of classes are just lectures. Most teachers just go over the syallbus and what they expect of their students on the first day, and you get out of class early. But some teachers actually start teaching the first day. Bring a notebook at least. If you want to play it on the safe side you can bring your books, but I doubt you'll need it. Maybe for English.. Oh and we didn't even use our books for speech..

And I'm not a slacker because I don't bring my books to class! I'm a science major with a GPA over 3.5.. So don't think I'm just saying this because I'm lazy.

You might want to bring your book to the 231 class but the others I think you will be fine. Expect a busy day, and some feelings of stress/ panic. After that you will feel great. Bring some paper, and pens, and that's about it, you will get some papers, so get something to carry them in.
