First day of high school??

Question

I need to look really cool for the first day of high school.but girls are only allowed to wear skirts to their knees or longer, and no tank tops or spaghetti straps.I've never been popular and I want to be this year.Please Help!

I feel the same because I gotta wear my uniform and I wanna be popular and cute!!! SO maybe with new hairstyle, makeup, paint ur nails, talk good!!! Thats what I am going to do too!!! So excited!

ahh that sucks. but you shoulf wear skinny jeans and mabey a hollister tee or american eagle. for shoes you can wear flats or some converse. for accesiores get a tote bag from anywere you life and mabey for a necklace you can get like one of those shell ones:)

it's not your clothes that will make you popular so don't worry about it so much. you don't want to look like you've tried hard to look cool, why not just keep it casual with jeans and a top? good luck!

Be popular is not based on how you dress it is based on who you hang with and how you act and treat other people. You can look your best in anything but if no one likes you are nothing.

Be confident. Believe that you know where you're going and what you're doing at all times.  Make friends, but don't climb the social ladder too fast or they'll probably knock you off it!  It's like that Jordin Sparks song.

do something dif with your hair and if you half to wear a uniform wear converse sneackers and use a tote bag as a bookbag  and talk to dif people make more friends join a sport or club good luck!!!

well you're all going to be in the same boat with the uniform so i really wouldn't worry :)

people might like your appearance but it doesn't mean to say they like you.

and being popular isn't all its cracked up to be anyway, i was in my first year and all it did was get me into trouble.

teachers new my name and older girls thought i was just that 'cocky little year 7'.

just be yourself and you'll find friends who like you for who you are not what you are :)

and i can guarantee you'll get on with these friends better.

if you really do want to 'look cool' roll your skirt at the top so its shorter, to be honest i really don't think they'll say anything unless its a mega strict school.

just wear nice jeans and, for the first day,a cute dressy top.

if you want to be cool, wear brand names or hollister/a&f

if you want to be standout and a trendsetter, look around for your own style / combination of things you think are cute.

Your possibilities are endless.  For the skirt thing just match some tights to it, or knee socks, Hot Topic is your best bet, and there are tons of websites that sell those in the most AMAZING designs...if you are plus sized here's a good site that has a lot of variety http://www.welovecolors.com/Shop/PlusSiz...

I"m assuming you have to wear some kind of uniform shirt, so if it's button up, put in a pattered tank or something flashy underneath.  It's also going to be very important you accessorize.  Leave no piece out of the puzzle, Earrings, necklace, bracelets, make sure you have the right pieces to match you.  I always reccommend a set of jewelry in gold, silver, and black, then colors to match everthing else. Heck you can even make your own, which does take some more time but it's a lot more fun.

Your shoes will make or break you if you are going to do the tights/leggings.  Some regular old Mary Janes or Converse would be a good start.

But, seriously, be yourself. Wear what you think is cool and not what anyone else does.  I"m not suggesting you buy a whole new wardrobe, but make sure you can mix and match what you already have.

ok I'm also starting high school this thursday and can only wear skirts.

what i did is i bought all kinds of different skirts, blouses, and tops.

what you can do is you can change your clothes every once in a while. you should buy peppy clothes, hot clothes, boyish clothes, fancy clothes etc....... you look different once in a while when you go to school so people can see all the sides of you.

for example lets say you are peppy and cute you can wear one day peppy clothes and another day cute clothes. its like being yourself but in a cool way. I'm sure in your school you would make friends that have the same interest as you and that's the way to be popular. to be with people that want to hang out with you. take my advice show all the sides of you and be yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!
