  1. i start school tomorrow too but its not my first time in highschool though. expect to be plop

  2. 1. High school years go by very quickly. Realize that, everything that seems oh-so important now will be laughable and irrelevant by the time you graduate.

    2. Don't ever hide your true self to please anyone. If everyone loves the Jonas Brothers (eww) and you love, I dunno, Clay Aiken or whatever, say that. Don't lie to fit in.

    3. Your school work will trump all high school drama. It's okay to be social, but focus on your work. Being the Most Popular isn't going to do you any good when you're filling out a college application.

    4. Don't be intimidated by anyone because of how they dress, who they hang out with, or how they look. No one is better than you, so you shouldn't be afraid to go up to someone and talk to them.

    5. If you see someone sitting alone in the lunchroom, invite them to your table. It's called "high school karma", and you'll be rewarded for it some how.

    6. Be respectful to the faculty and teachers, but don't allow anyone to disrespect you in any way.

    7. If the teacher is wrong about something, point it out. Don't allow some moron to teach you the wrong things.

    8. Get organized: Buy a planner, keep your locker neat, etc.

    9. Before jumping into friendships, be observant. Watch people and how they interact with others. Use your intuition. If someone seems a bit off or untrustworthy, then they're not worth your time.

    10. Don't spread rumors, and if you hear a rumor that you know to be untrue, speak out on it (again, it's high school karma; do it for someone and they'll do it for you)

That's all I have for now, feel free to write me if anything!

  3. Just expect a lot more people than you did in elementary. It's not that scary. I was scared but no one even notices you, and then you see your friends and you're more relaxed. Don't sweat it, remember you're there to learn, sometimes we forget that..

  4. Be nice to everyone.

Stereotypes do not exist, remember that. Even if one kid looks lonely and nerdy, talk to them like you would to a sporty kid who gets lots of attention. Talk to whoever you want, be nice to everyone, be polite to everyone. But don't be fake, show your true nature, your true tastes, and if someone says "Ewww you like that?" Just say "Yeah, I do, but it doesn't really matter if others don't". Be polite though.

Make friends with lots of people, especially when people start forming different groups, become variably familiar with loads of people, even those that arent in your year. If you're friendly with people from different groups, its nice... trust me, from my experience, it is really good.

And whatever rumors you hear, let them die with you. Do not spread rumors from one person to another. Avid talking about people behind their backs, that leads to trouble and awkward situations in the future... I talked about people behind their backs and its weird now, cause we try and get along, and  i feel bad all the time.

You dont have to do ALL this socialising in one day. Start slow. Say Hi top everyone, introduce youself to some people. Ask people older than you for help if you need to, and introduce yourself then.

This is the best way to SOCIALLY enjoy hish school. You must also be nice to your teachers. It takes a while to get to know them sometimes...

Now ith subjects, just do your best at all of them and dont let anyone elses worries get in the way of your priorities.

Its important to realise the cliques and atereotypes dont really exist, its just the people who think they do. Like I said before, everyone is equal. Be nice to everyone.

Besides... you get great connections this way.
