Question:

First day of school. Sleeping Problems! ?

Okay so its the night before the first day of school. And i can never sleep at the night before the first day of school! Sooo i need some ways i can fall asleep without thinking about tomorrow! Have ANY kind of sleeping methods?

And i dont find the method "counting sheep" so great.lol.

  1. You didn't say how old you are.  Best thing to do is think about last year and how much you worried then - - and then how well the day actually went.  We ALL worry over things like this - perfectly normal.  Your friends are probably stressing too.  Maybe text your best bud and see if they are worried too.  Better yet, take some deep breaths and think a lot about the fun things you did this summer.  Pretty soon you should be asleep!  Have a GREAT day tomorrow.


  2. I had that problem the day before school started...it was terrible. I kept waking up during the night. There's a good 15-minute rule; if you've lied in your bed for 15 minutes and are no where near sleep, get up and do something boring and tedious for 15 minutes. Brush up on your algebra. List the factors of things in your head. Read the dictionary. Eventually, your brain will get tired and you'll go back to sleep and actually sleep!

    But if you don't sleep well, don't worry about it. It happens to everyone. Don't expect a magical, restful sleep before the first day of a new year!

  3. lay down on the couch and turn on the discovery channel or the history network. make sure you're covered up in a blanket and nice and toasty. pick whichever one looks the most boring... it can even be interesting, but make sure there's a lot of facts... like stuff on WWII

    you'll be out within half an hour
