First day of school outfit-- is this too crazy?

if someone walked in with a completely unique but trendy outfit on, {in my case, a black romper and a very cute cardigan}, but was wearing bright yellow rain boots, do you assume that i'm a FUN, weird person? or just a weird, stay-away-from-me person.

i think it looks cute and fun and definitely me, but i dont want to drive people away on my first day of school. im looking forward to making friends.

i'd do it in a heartbeat in my old school, where people know me.

I say it sounds super cute.

Anyway, how are people going to get to know you if you don't present an accurate representation of yourself?  If rainboots make you happy, go for it.

Anyone who'd be dissuaded by your choice in shoes probably isn't good friend material anyway.

I would think 'Wow, this girl has no idea how hideous she looks'.

I don't know though, I just can't imagine that outfit looking good.

i think it would be cute! I would think you were fun, outgoing, and bubbly.

You should wear it, because if you wear something too plain and not as "you" as the rain boot outfit, and you're at a new school, then you might not make the friends that are most like you (fun and trendy).

maybe not yellow, try a cute fun pair of printed wellies they are rain boots too. i bet it will work fine! otherwise its a little fireman-ish. GOOD LUCK with the first day of school!

I think you sound fun,because we are very alike.It's better to show people who you are on the first day of school so that you don't "bust out" and scare everyone to death.Also,people are really judgmental when they are around you,if you show who you are on the first day,you'll attract other people like you,rather than someone who likes you because you look "normal" and dislikes you when you show your uniqueness.And as the outfit goes,I think you might start a trend :).If you like what you wear,(and it doesn't get you kicked off of public property j/k),just be the sylish and unique girl you are!People will always this someone different from them is weird(like I think the borringly dressed peoople are weird for looking so drab) p.s.if someone talks c**p about you,it saves you the trouble of knowing the b*****s later on.Just don't be surprised if you see an increasing amount of yellow rain boots.People will get used to you soon enough.Good luck!
