First day of 9th grade..it's a school with only 8th and 9th graders so I don't have to worry about ACTUAL high school..

But I still won't know anyone there because I'm new...

Any tips?!

I've already heard "be yourself", anything else that's actually gonna help me??

  1. Basically, just as weird as it may seem, focus on school, and extra-curricular activities (i.e. club's, organizations, etc.) and the friends will come into place.  Usually when you're in a club with people, you have the same goals interests and such.

  2. Last year of middle school (even though that was 2 years ago for me, 8th grade) has been my favorite school year so far. Don't worry, you aren't going to be the only new student there. If you are a generally bubbly and outgoing person, I don't think you have too much to fret over.

  3. Don't fall on your butt in front of hundreds of people. It's embarassing. Believe me. I went through it. But I'm good at laughing at myself so it was all good.

  4. Lucky! Well, about being with only 8th and 9th graders; NOT about going back to school! Well, all I can say is that you should definitely remember to write down your homework in a notebook/homework pad/whatever you have and bring home everything you need. Don't get into too much trouble and work hard so the teachers will like you, and introduce yourself to the other kids and be nice to them and that way the other students will like you too!

  5. I am in 9th grade too and dont worry you will do find.

Just dont ever pass up a new friend.

Maybe during lunch go up to a table and ask to sit their(kinda like in that walmart commercial...lol)

  6. Just walk in there with the feeling that other people will want to be YOUR friend.

  7. Dont wear a hannah montana t shirt.

  8. Try 'BUNKIN OFF'  it will be the best 'first day' ever !!!!!!

  9. turn goth :)))

  10. dont worry

  11. Well, I have to agree with the be yourself part, but besides that, socialize. On my first day at my new school, I didn't know but a couple people. So I just kinda sat and did whatever I was supposed to. But soon, I was meeting new people. Don't be shy, and if you do accidentally embarrass yourself (i.e., falling down the stairs or something like that), that is when you find out who your real friends are/will be. The ones who stand and laugh are probably jerks, but the one who comes down to help you out is the one that you can count on.

  12. If you run into a sticky situation, just unbutton a few buttons on your shirt and you'll be safe...

    ;]

I don't know what to say but be yourself.

  13. All you have to do is relax and focus on your work and I gurantee you'll do well.

    Good luck

  14. wear something comfortable, talk to the kids in your class, get to know the people who have lockers next to you, and good luck :)

  15. Yeah, Listen and learn. Stay away from obnoxious cliques, save yourself for your wedding night, don't drink alcohol or abuse drugs, don't wear suggestive clothing, Be courteous and respectful of your teachers.

    Have fun.
