i remember my first day if sixth grade last year. First of all if you really dont care whether you will be 'cool' or not then where something that a normal kid your age would wear, like jeans and a graphic tee, if you wanna look good(as in coool) i would wear maybe leggings and a cute dressyish t-shirt, or jeans and a shirt that shows a little oomph. hope this helps :)

definitely dark skinny jeans, like maybe a simple t-shirt like from hot topic (the shirts over there are cute)and some shoes like converse, vans, whatever, as long as the match kinda lol! and some studs of some sort (if your ears are pierced) and then a cute backpack because i think bags are kinda girly...so yeah.

if not do NOT wear any of those stupid shirts with built in under shirts!

My next door neighbor here in California wore white bermuda shorts with really cute sandals and a pinkish tee shirt and pulled her hair back into a pony tail.  If that is too girly for you make it thin jeans and a red, white and blue election year theme tee shirt.

I wore a spaghetti strap under a shirt. (It can be a jersey.) Tie the shirt in the back, and tuck in the tail. Wear a skirt, make sure it's long enough to follow school rules, and leggings. (Black goes with anything.) Top that off with flip-flops, a tote bag (Abercrombie, Hollister, Etc.), and a ribbon in your hair. Your hair can either be in a pony tail or down, but a ribbon would be both feminine and sporty. (If you wanna be sporty, put your hair in a pony, then add a ribbon.) You can reinvent yourself in 6th. It's time now. Why not make yourself look cute?

half & half ? i say ripped skinny jeans, converse or whatever shoes you like [converse, vans, air force, pumas, skater shoes whatever] & then a tank with a cardigan or a simple tee or tank top with a knit. it doesn`t make u look girly nor too tomboy. goodluck ;]
