Area of a circle is pie(D divided by 2) to second power. d is y plus 5. y is 1/2 Solve. I got 7.56?

  1. Area = π(D/2)²

    If D = y + 5 this equation becomes:

    Area = π((y + 5)/2)²

    If y = ½ this becomes:

    Area = π((½ + 5)/2)²

    Area = π((½ + 10/2)/2)²

    Area = π((11/2)/2)²

    Area = π(11/4)²

    Area = π(11²/4²)

    Area = π(121/16)

    Area = 23.758
