First down explorer then firefox why is my p.c....

Question

I will try to make this brief. A few months ago I bought a Toshiba Satellite P305-58820 2 weeks in Explorer stops working. To the point where I could not even pull it up to go into the tools section. tried to restore but it wouldn't let me. I took it in and they exchanged it for another. Right away I downloaded firefox and Safari so I would be able to at least get online to find a solution if things went wrong again. Wouldn't you know a week goes by and BYE BYE Explorer. At this point I was like s***w Explorer Im done with you. SO I began to use and LOVE Firefox. So another month goes by and that leads me to now. Firefox no longer responds. Ok they both come up and show the page and on explorer I can click on links but as soon as I go to write something in the navigation line they stop responding.  Oh right before firefox went out I would get a pop up stating I need to go to program options page and get a definitions file updated. It wouldn't explain so I didn't know what to do. OK I am on Safari now but it is only a matter of time before it dies. And so you know I have tried disabling all add-ons as well as restoring. It tells me I have errors that need to be fixed but then it won't let me fix the errors.   I use Windows defender. Spy-Sweeper and Firewalls. I haven't downloaded anything.  Please Please help me find out why my laptops hate me! Thank You!
