They say Leif Erikson, but who knows, really? The Native Americans came from Asia across the land bridge that used to exist between Siberia and Alaska, so I suppose you could say they were the first explorers,immigrants, whatever.

No one knows. Recent DNA studies on that matter have concluded that this country was a melting pot since time began. Any location which had an ocean had access to this continent.

There is no proof that Erikson came to the mainland of US, only that he was in Canada.
