First fantasy football draft ever- need advice...How did I do??

QB- Ben Roethliberger, Mark Bulger

RB- LaDainian Tomlinson, Laurence Maroney, Brandon Jacobs, Rashard Mendenhall, Tatum Bell

WR- Brandon Marshall, Marvin Harrison, Anthony Gonzalez, DJ Hackett, Justin Gage, Jabar Gaffney

TE- Jeremy Shockey, LJ Smith

K- Adam Vinatieri, David Ackers

D- Will Blackmon, TJ Rushing, Travis Williams

For a 12 team league you have a very strong team. You have no real weakness on your team. Very strong running backs and quarterbacks. If i could suggest a trade i would suggest you try to trade brandon jacobs  for a good wr. You could use another good wr and you can afford to loose jacobs.

In all honestly, your team is not good at all.  Roethlisberger is good at TD/INT ratio and QB rating, but he barely threw for 3,000 yards last season.  Bulger is definitely among the last QBs I would have taken.

At RB, LT is your team's strongest player, then it drops off signifigantly.  Maroney is a good player but not a good fantasy player because of the WR/QB talent on his real-life team.  Jacobs/Mendenhall/Bell are nowhere near top-tier.

You are by far the weakest at WR, this is where it gets truly embarrassing.  Marshall is in legal trouble and suspended for your first two games; Harrison is coming off devastating injury and will never be the same; you made the horrible mistake of having two WRs from the same team (Gonzalez, Harrison) so they will have to share the ball (and your fantasy points!), Hackett/Gage/Gaffney second tier.

At TE, Shockey is perhaps the most overrated player in the NFL; when he was injured last year, all his replacement did was come in, immediately outperform anything Shockey had done in his NFL career, and go on to win the Super Bowl.  LJ Smith is not top tier.

K, two players on teams that will score more TDs than FGs.

I just finished my first 12 team draft, it's my second year playing. Our teams are really very similar. Good job. The only thing i wouldn't have done is draft 2 kickers.
