  1. just listen to your coach, and your other teammates, and they should be kind enough to let you know where to go, because that's what a good volleyball player/person does.  It also depends on what rotation you are doing, because 6-2 is different from 5-1, and so on and so forth, and I would be glad to let you know, if you told me what rotation you are doing.  Glad i could help :D

  2. well all i know is from a camp becuz the team im on hasnt talked about rotations and serve recieve stuff...but for every team you have ur base (or 'home') posistion. but it depends on ur coach for wat serve recieve rotation u do...you really just have to talk about this to ur coach-they can tell you better becuz they know wat rotatitons ther running

  3. just be in ur self..

dont get too nevous coz if u do so ull hand will shake and when u serve da ball will go to the other court which happen to me last last year..

    and relax..

just play and do ur best..

and,, when the balls come to ur court one the team must say"its mine" or somthing like that so that if the ball comes nobody will panic catching the ball...

but my advice is just pray and relax..

dont get to body to nervous coz ur body will shaking and u cant concentr8..

    hope it helps..

    gud lcuk!!

  4. Serve receives depend on the coach.  There are thousands of different patterns that are used.  The most common is the M or W depending on where you are looking. For a 4-2, it could be something like this.  Start with the setter in the middle.

The left front hitter is on the left sideline around the 10 foot line.  The right side hitter is on the right sideline and around the 10 foot line.  The middle back is near the 10 foot line in the middle of the court.  Left back is about 10 feet from the left sideline and about 5 feet in from the back line.  The right back is about 10 feet from the right sideline and about 5 feet from the back line.  From the endline, this formation looks like a W.  The main variations are when the setter is not in the middle front.  If they are left front, they will start on the left sideline at the net.  If they are right front, they will start on the right sideline at the net.  Everyone else forms the W.

If you are running a 6-2, the setter will start in the back row with everyone else in the W.

I hope you play this formation so that I have not made things worse.  If you have other questions about this, please feel free to email me.

  5. it depends on what position you play and how your rotations are.(if your not setter) i would just try your best to get a good bump/dig if your in the back to the setter or for someone to set or be out of the setter's way and ready to hit/block if your in the front row. if your setter than i would just make sure to get to every 2nd ball or yell help if you can't. you could attempt to play with just about anyone if you try those simple rules
