First grade MATH :Horizons , Math-u-see , Rod&Staff

I would not mind to combine two of these for a complete math curriculum . Which one would you recommend ?

My child is a visual learner and likes workbooks .

My son enjoyed Horizons, he didn't like mathusee and we never tried Rod and Staff. If he likes workbooks, the Horizon ones are fun and colorful!

My daughter is also a visual learner. She had a hard time grasping a few early concepts and when we check out Math U See she got really excited. She told me mom I get that! We needed no further convincing we bought the program. Since then she has excelled in Math and has for the first time since we started it a year ago asked me for help with her math work. For us it works.

I haven't tried Horizons or Rod and Staff. So I can't really comment on them.
