First home buyers grant australia

Question

I purchased a house and got the first home buyers grant of $7000 and it all went well. Then 6 months later i get a letter saying I have to pay the money back because I had a property that I inherited before I purchased my first home that I bought. I was told that I was entitled to the first home buyers grant because the home that i purchased was my first home i ever bought and that inheriting a property did't count. Answers would be appreciated thanks

well unfortunately i don't think i have ever heard of a first home buyers grant. i would talk to whoever told you so & figure if what they said was wrong. hope it goes well for you! :)
