  1. have fun!

  2. You mean competing?

Be calm, do the best you can, keep a positive attitude and learn from this experience.

  3. Breath....

Smile for the judge (especially in the Pleasure classes - remember, you are trying to show that the horse is fun to ride).

Be prepared - put aside an entire day before the show (you'll need it) for last minute riding, bathing, grooming, braiding or banding, putting all the finishing touches on the horse.  Get all your show clothes together and ready.  Make sure you have your negative coggins and the rabies cert. for the day of the show (bring copies, not originals).

Bring plenty of water and gatorade, as it gets really hot out there and you'll be glad you have it.

Bring a bucket for cold water and a washcloth or sponge to keep your horse cool.

Relax - remember that you are there to have fun!

  4. what do you show in...well always remember to keep your chin up and think positive!

  5. well, first of all.. what classes ar eyou going to be taking.. are you going to be riding english or western?
