http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 is the best innings of his career so far and hopes that this is the beginning of many to come.
The left-handed opener made a comeback to the national team during the Asia Cup 2012 and played a brilliant knock against the arch-rivals. He, along with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Hafeez-c76898, accumulated 224 runs for the first-wicket partnership as both completed their tons.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045 and impressed one and all with his ability to hit the ball hard. He came up with some good performances but still failed to cement his place in the national team and was dropped in 2009 after a couple of bad
performances against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758.
However, the left-hander has worked very hard on his game since then and has been performing exceptionally well in the domestic cricket of Pakistan.
While talking to Pakpassion, Nasir expressed that first hundred for any cricketer is special but if it is scored against India, it is even more delightful for a Pakistani cricketer. The opening batsman said that staying at the crease for a long period of
time against a quality opposition was a great learning experience for him.
Nasir said, “Scoring an international century is a special moment in any cricketer’s career, but to make it against India was just an amazing feeling. The innings against India was naturally a very enjoyable innings but most importantly I felt that I learnt
a lot from the innings. That century against India is the one that I hope can kick start my international career.”
Showing a big heart, Nasir was all praise for India’s two young-guns, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/RG-Sharma-c2309. The left-hander from Lahore believes that the two Indian batsmen played out of their skins to clinch the game for their country.
“Unfortunately we lost the match to India which was down to some excellent batting by the opposition. You just have to give credit to the opposition, at the end of the day it’s cricket, these things can happen,” he added.
The left-handed batsman recently played the Faysal Bank Super 8 T20 Cup 2012 for Lahore http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808 but failed to make a huge impression in the tournament.
However, Jamshed is expected to be an integral part of Pakistan’s limited-overs setup in future and the cricket fans are expecting him to deliver the goods for Pakistan on a consistent basis as the Green Shirts are in dire need of a solid opener. The young
cricketer proved in the Asia Cup 2012 that he has the ability to make it big at the highest stage of the game.
