Question:

First impressions?

So, I'm going to be a freshman this upcoming school year and I'm going to try out for the frosh volleyball team. Tonight I have to go watch the Varsity volleyball girls do drills and stuff. I don't know how I should act though. I mean I don't want to walk in being shy and I definately don't want to act cocky. Generally, I'm quite loud, but I'm not going to be loud there. First impressions do count, unfortunately. Advice?

  1. if you are good then it's okay to act cocky. but if you suck then you shouldn't be trying out in the first place

  2. be yourself but make sure to pay attention when there practicing b/c the coach will look at that to see who really wants it!!

  3. at anykind of tryout. show your devotion. give the coach whose speaking your full attention. stand at the front of the group. volunteer first to do the drill.etc

  4. i play my best when i have unlimited confidence and positivity! be focused and KNOW that you are the BEST player there! you truely are!

that doesn't mean you have to be cruel or rude. be friendly and warm, but showem whatcha got! best of luck ^^

  5. Be yourself.

  6. just be yourself people like you for who you are and if they dont idk who cares?

  7. Be yourself. Show that you love volleyball, and that you will do your best for the team even if you are not the best volleyball player out there. Show some spirit.

  8. -You should be yourself, (assuming yourself isn't obnoxious or rude :]).

-And pay close attention to the varsity girls because thats why you are there.

-Smile a lot, and have a positive attitude.

-Make sure the coach sees you there and say hi and introduce yourself, it will help at tryouts if he knows who you are already.

-Being loud doesn't always matter, my jv coach likes the girls that are loud, cheering on everyone.

    Good luck! =D

  9. just be youreself mabey not as loud but if they dont like you or sometin just tell them that your not gonna change for anyone or anytin because you should not change!i wont

  10. Just talk when you feel it's necessary. I mean they are training so you don't want to interrupt them.

If they play scrimmages, cheer them on.

Most of all, watch closely and get tips from them! You will get a lot better! =]

  11. Why hide the true you. We are who we are, but if you are worried just tone down the "loudness". I'm sure its your ability they will be looking at. Best of luck and i'm sure you will be fab
