First it was Global Warming...then it became Climate Change...now it's Global Cooling...?

Ever feel like someone out there is making this all up on dodgy scientific evidence in order to fleece you a little bit more?

Global warming and climate change are 2 different things.  However, the former causes the latter, so they're interchangeable terms.

As for global cooling, I don't know where you get that.  It's pretty obvious that the planet continues to warm.

If you look at Al gores investments it is a definite yes, and hwy not Bush is supposedly in bed with the Saudi cause he has oil investments, anyone who don't think that it is a scam is ignorant or under the age. It may not make any sense to you or me, but  as long as the sheep stay scared and the cash is coming in, their bottom line is achieved.  If the alarmists never question the junk-science and are willing to accept abrupt midstream changes without question the scam will persist.  

Oh...how I wish at least some of them would learn a bit of common sense.

No matter what the weather is tomorrow, next week, next month, next year, ten years from now, a certain group of people will blame us and tell us that it is a reason why their proposed taxes and/or limits on many everyday activities ranging from driving to eating beef.

I don't know where you got the idea that we are now facing Global Cooling, but that's definitely not the case.  

Climate scientists are definitely still using the term "Global Warming".  A quick check with google scholar (looking only for the use since 2007) finds many examples:

The terminology of "Climate Change" is merely used to indicate that the changes go well beyond just an increase temperature (which is all Global Warming suggests).  Global Warming is merely a subset of Climate Change.

Yeah, I know what you mean, every time time a prediction does not come true there is always a rational explanation, when a simple we were wrong would do just fine. But it's hard to keep your funding when your consistently wrong.

Well, duh, now they can say they are right regardless of what happens.  As in, they haven't a clue and are making it up as they go along!

By the way, the temperatures of other planets are going up as well, and surely they can't blame our carbon footprint for that too!  

Maybe the sun is just getting hotter!  

I for one, am glad to trust in the Lord, Creator of heaven and earth, and His divine providence.  He is in control and He will save the earth if He wants it saved.  While we should certainly be good stewards of the resources with which He has entrusted us, we shouldn't for one nanosecond think that we have the power to save what He doesn't want saved, or destroy what He doesn't want destroyed!

global warming didnt catch on so they are trying climate change now. it's more vague so they can claim its the cause of any weird weather thing. big hurricane, 80 in april, 40 in july, toomuch rain, not enough rain: it's all climate change caused by SUVs blah blah. their whole argument is that the earth has warmed a couple of degrees since 1900. as if temp records 100 years ago were that precise. and of course the last 10 years are some of the warmest on record. to prove their point they talk as if that trend is certain to continue. the earth has warmed and cooled many times over the years. in the 1930s it was extremely hot and dry for several years. people didn't call that global warming. they just said 'dang it's hot'. then things balanced out.



on the off chance that they are right, it's a good idea to conserve etc but it's hardly the 100% certainity the cult would have you believe.
