I knwo when you use a pregnancy test you're supposed to use first morning urine. I was wondering if you stay up all night, and pee in the morning is that considered it, or do you have to be asleep for whatever for it to be accurate? I know pregnancy tests wills till work its just recommended but does that count?

I'm not pregnant, or think I am, I was wondering that this morning that's why I'm asking...just curious

  1. The first morning urine is simply more concentrated because you haven't peed for 8 hours or so, thus the hormone (or whatever the test is based on) will be more concentrated and easier to detect. This is especially important if you want to determine if you're pregnant within the first few days after unprotected intercourse. After several weeks the substance will be in such high concentration that it will be detectable in any urine sample, no matter how dilute. Staying awake for 8 hours WITHOUT peeing will have the same effect on the concentration.
