First pasport in the uk please help?

i am asking this on behalf of my friend, she has just had her x boyfriend move in with her and she wants them to go abroad next year, she has a passport but he dosnt, now you have to go for an interview will he have to prove where he has been living? as he has been homeless for over a year will he still be able to get a passport?

He does not have to prove his residence. He just needs a mailing address so he can receive his passport.

All he will need to apply for a passport for the first time is the following:

- completed application form (available at the post office)

- two identical passport photos.

- Documents to prove he is British (birth certificate)

- payment.
