I am finally having my first period after child birth and it hurts. There is so much blood and its kinda scary. Is this normal? I have two other children, but it was not this bad after I had them. I am also feeling kinda light headed too...maybe I should go see my doctor.

  1. You should definitely Call him right away!

  2. Yeah, I agree. Check with your doctor. You're lightheaded from the blood loss. Go have yourself checked out to see that you're not hemorraging.

  3. I would call your doctor immediately, there may be some tissue left over from the birth that is causing your heavy bleeding(usually described as going through a pad every hour)

  4. Yes, see your doctor!!! That is too much blood if it is making you lightheaded. You may have some leftover tissue or a part of the placenta in your uterus still, causing an infection. I had the same thing happen to me after the birth of my 3rd child. I was in the hospital overnight.   Please get it checked out!

  5. The first couple periods after giving birth are usually on the heavier side, however it wouldn't hurt to give your doctor a call!

  6. Um...I advise you to go see a doctor. He / she will be able to help u with your problem.
