  1. It sounds normal, although every woman's body is different, so you may not find the same exact experience if you ask a bunch of girls.

Your next period should be 28 days (4 weeks) from the day you started.

You need to keep a calendar, so you'll be prepared.  Your body will settle down, but it takes awhile -- up to 2 years.  Try to roll with it. You can't stop it anyway, so try to take it in stride.

  2. Yes, that's normal.  Each month, your body goes through a cycle.  The amount of discharge you have will change during the month depending on where you are in the cycle.  The average time between periods is about 28 days; yours might be shorter or longer.  Check out this website for more info about the menstrual cycle.  http://www.womenshealth.gov/faq/menstru....  Or, you could always ask your mom.  :)

  3. The first year or so of your period is always weird.. It will come and go.. its just your body regulating its self.

  4. yes that's perfectly normal. Your period might come irregular especially as you have just started.

I would suggest that you learn about cycles a bit, because it is possible to find out, when your next period will be, if you keep taking your morning body temperature. When the temperature rises a bit and stays up, the next period can be expected in approx. 12 days.

Try to read a book, like Taking charge of your Fertility.

  5. Yeah, the discharge is normal.. You will probably have the discharge for the and then it will maybe stop before you get your period. This is a great reminder to let you know you'll get your period. I suggest wearing light pads during the times without the discharge.. Hope this helps!

You should get your period about the same date but different month..

  6. When you first get it it's rather irregular...your message is a tish hard to read but I'm getting the impression that you feel like you've been, in a way, having your period all year? Much of the irregularity is normal, and will be that way for a while, but if it looks weird or smells like fish (note that fish is seemingly always, always the term used to describe when anything is wrong with a girl down there, because I believe that's truly the smell) and you can goggle warning signs concerning periods, or if it's heavy and never seems to stop, you may have something wrong.

  7. You are growing up dear.  A cycle typically lasts 28 days.  Although, when first getting it, it can be erratic.  If the timing is off a bit, don't worry about it.  The discharge you are referring to, is part of going through puberty and having to deal with natural happenings.  The discharge will always be there.  It may lessen as you mature.  It sounds to me like you are a normal healthy young girl turning into a young woman.

  8. Don't worry yourself, honey. Stress will only make your period an even weirder experience for you. First, the discharge is completely normal, as is the stopping and starting. Second, in a perfect world, every woman's cycle would be an exact 28 days, like it should be. Since this is your first period, you aren't going to know your cycle until you've had several. Just keep track in your planner of when you start, when you're flow is heaviest, and when you stop bleeding. Hopefully, after a few months, you'll notice a regular cycle. However, don't be concerned if you're cycle is irregular. I've been irregular in my menstrual cycle for quite a while, and only just started having a regular cycle about a year ago.

Congratulations on your first step into womanhood!

  9. dont worry its all normal

  10. The discharge you are having is part of a womans cycle. Before you actually get your period- when you ovulate- your body releases it, it is perfectly normal, i get it all the time
