First roller coaster ever made???

well it depends on what you would like to call a roller coaster.  there were a few rides like the loop de loop and one where you sat on a bench that went down a hill sideways.  the first inspiration for a roller coaster were the russian winter sled hills.  in the winter, people would go down on a thing like a slide on a sled.  then they figured out that if you put wheels on it you could do it in the summer too.  i dont remember what the very first one was called sorry but i hope i helped!!! look up the book "Roller Coasters or I Had So Much Fun I Almost Puked" (the whole thing is the title of the book)
