First time Ouija Board user...

Question

Hello everyone, my friend and I just bought the Ouija Board and have been trying to use it for two nights now, but nothing has happened. I was just wondering if anyone had any *Step by Step* ways on how to do it, or how you do it.

What do you think about?

Do I keep my pointer finger and my middle finger from BOTH hands on it lightly or hard?

Should I light a candle or just use the glow in the dark effect?

Fingers should be lightly touching the planchette.  

I never did understand why Ouija boards are marketed as games.  They are not.  Assuming a spirit can communicate that way, that kind of communication is not a game.  Nothing but trouble comes from using the Ouija for entertainment.

So Ouija boards aren't the greatest things to be playing around with.  I knew a girl who got to involved with one of those and psyched herself out into a mental home.  You really need to be careful because your MIND can be a tricky thing.  It doesn't matter if you hold it lightly or hard or have a candle or no candle because it won't work.  The only way it will supposedly work is if it is blessed by a witch or a person who practices religions of the sort.  Your best bet is throw it in the trash.  Good luck!

I played the ouija board a number of times years ago and nothing happened.  Nothing happened when friends played the ouija board.  Nothing happens when most people play with the ouija board.

The ouija board is just a game that you can buy in most toy stores and department stores, an ordinary piece of wood or plastic or cardboard.  It is meant for two or more players so it will not work very well if you try to use it alone.  It has no supernatural powers.  The people using the ouija board make it work through ideomotor movement.  It plays on your mind and imagination and your susceptibilities and beliefs and fears.  It can be scary because the imagination is a powerful thing, and can make you believe just about anything.  Here are a couple of links that discuss ouija boards and how to use them.

Make sure you light an odd number of candles. It's common knowledge, spiritually speaking, that bad spirits like even numbers while good spirits prefer odd numbers. 13 is a bit of an anomaly.

Everyone has to have two fingers on it

then there has to be a spirit in the room to move it around

candles are just mainly for atmosphere

but give it a go
