First time UK passport?

has anyone applied for a first time UK passport since june 2007 and had to go for an interview if so how long did it take until you received your passport from when you sent off the application?

  1. As you sent it through the Post Office you should get the letter for the interview pretty soon (within a week). The letter will ask you to select the most convenient place for you to attend an interview and then you ring them up and they say the available days and times they have. I had to wait just over a week and a half to get my interview but then the passport was sent out the next day and I was surprised how quickly I got it. Out of all the people they have interviewed to get a passport NOBODY has been denied one so please don't worry about that - it's just a government formality that wastes our time and money. So it really depends on how busy the office is where you choose to have your interview.
