Id it just he and water playing or do i actually clean her with just a clean cloth? What temp should the water be? How long should she be in the water? How long can she be out of her enclosure? Do I dry he before putting her back in her enclosure? Help. Im a new beardie owner and so lost.

  1. you can start off by using a sink and only fill it with a little water anought water that she can swim around it very good for beardies to have a bath it helps there food digested and the usly p**p in the water my always does once it is biger use the tub

  2. When my beardie was a baby, i used to bath it in a cassarole dish! If the water is nice and warm (it wouldnt bother you to have your hand in that temp for 30 mins) then temp is fine. Never leave your beardie alone! Always keep a hand near by so it can climb on you if needed! I would recomend trying to bath him for a couple of minutes, then take him out and dry him. If it all goes well, you could increase the bath time next time. I wouldnt exceed 15 mins with a baby tho. Dont make the water level too high for the beardie to stand up in! He wont like this if he has never bathed before! I would advise against using all chemicals! Just warm water and a dry towel!

  3. Water should be warm to your wrist and at most chest high on the Beardie.  You don't need to use a cloth or any soap.  The object is to let her soak.  They absorb water through their vents, so frequent bathing can help combat dehydration as well as help at shedding time.

I had one that loved the water.  I'd let him soak for up to 30 minutes, checking the water temp frequently and refreshing when it started cooling off too much.

Dry with a towel before putting her back in her viv.  Time out of tank depends on size and if you have an alternate heat source.  I use to keep a heat lamp over a basking site on one of my end tables.

  4. You can use your tab on bathing Alarica and you can even put some Chlorhexidine on the water rather than bleach or any of those smelly cleaner and also use a soft toothbush for her body too.

Don't worry about the temperature coz room temp is ok.

You can bath her as long as she got clean dont need a long time dear.  She can be out of her enclosure after you already clean-up her cage with Chlorhexidne also.

You can even dry her before putting her in with her personal clean cloth.

If you want more info I got a blog of an also beardie owner.
