  1. My first "from scratch" bakery was oatmeal cookie. Cookies are a real nice way to start. You can just type any name of bakery with the word "recipe" behind it and then search, and a recipe will pop up. Careful about the temperature though. Every oven is different, so the temperature in the recipe is generally just a recommendation. Never leave the oven alone the first you cook (Not that you should leave it alone any other time! Just be extra careful.)

  2. brownies are always easy and yummy!!

just buy a box of mix from the store and it already has the recipe on it. just check and make sure you have all of the ingredients. for most, you will just need eggs, vegetable oil, and water.

    have fun cooking!

  3. Try these web sites, type desserts into the search bar.

  4. Cinnamon Apple Muffins

    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

    3/4 cup sugar

    1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    1/2 cup milk

    1/3 cup  butter, melted

    1 egg, slightly beaten

    1 cup finely chopped apple

Heat oven to 375°F. Combine, flour, sugar, baking powder and cinnamon in medium bowl. Add all remaining ingredients. Stir just until flour is moistened.

Spoon batter into greased 12-cup muffin pan. Bake for 18 to 23 minutes or until lightly browned. Let stand 5 minutes; remove from pan.

    Eggless oatmeal raisin cookies

    2/3 c. (1 1/3 sticks) butter, softened

    1 1/4 c. granulated sugar

    1/2 c. milk

    1 tsp. vanilla

    1 1/2 c. flour

    1 tsp. baking soda

    1 tsp. cream of tartar

    1/2 tsp. salt

    2 1/2 c. uncooked quick oats

    1 ½ c. raisins

Mix all ingredients together. Mix well. Chill. Roll into small balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Flatten with bottom of glass. Bake 9-12 minutes in a 350 degree oven.

    Peach Muffins

    Ingredients:

    1/4 cup melted margarine

    3/4 cup sugar

    2 eggs

    1 cup milk

    1 tablespoon vanilla

1 ¼ cup diced fresh or canned peaches in light syrup, drained

    2 1/4 cups flour

    1 T baking powder

    1/2 tsp. baking soda

    ¼ tsp. cinnamon

    1/4 tsp. nutmeg

    Cinnamon Streusel Topping

    • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar, firmly packed

    • 2 ½  teaspoons all-purpose flour

    • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

    • ¾   cup chopped walnuts

    Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Thoroughly mix the margarine, sugar, eggs, milk and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture alternately with the peaches. Thoroughly mix batter until all ingredients are fully incorporated. Grease 10-12 regular size muffin pan sections. Fill each muffin section 3/4 full with the batter. Bake 25-35  minutes until firm to touch or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.

    Chocolate Chip Muffins

    1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

    1/2 teaspoon baking powder

    1/2 teaspoon baking soda

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    2 large eggs

    4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

    1/2 cup dark brown sugar

    3/4 cup milk

    1 tablespoon vegetable oil

    2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Line the muffin tin with paper liners and lightly coat with cooking spray. (This may seem like overkill, but otherwise the muffins will stick.)

Whisk the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl. In another medium bowl, lightly whisk the eggs, then whisk in the butter, brown sugar, milk, oil and vanilla.

Quickly fold the wet ingredients into the dry with a rubber spatula. Just before the batter comes together, fold in the chocolate chips—don’t mix the batter too much or the muffins will be tough. Divide the batter among the muffin cups (1/4 cup of batter per muffin). Bake until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean, about 25 minutes. Turn the muffins out of the tins, cool on a rack.

  5. betty crocker cake mixes!

Or, you can try these veggies that they sell in walmart, that's mixed with noodles & it comes with a teriyaki sauce. & it has the steps on how to cook it in the bag.

It's called "oriential teriyaki "  or something like that, it's in a blue bag  on the freezer section!

They taste just like take-out, if not better.

  6. Until you get your feet wet I suggest you buy a box cake, like Duncan Hines and follow the directions to the minute.  Measure and set the oven as instructed.  Once you see that you only have to follow a recipe you will gain confidence in cooking other items.

With pasta, follow the cooking time exactly.  Set a timer...be vigilant....Good Luck to you.
