Okay, I understand 3oz liquids in a 1-quart bag; my juicy juice goes in the bag.

Now, what about food from home? Stuff like home-made pepperoni rolls, granola bars, pudding cup...does the pudding cup go into the bag with the juice? Do non-liquid food items go in a separate bag? I've read the TSA guidelines a dozen times, but still am confused.

  1. Pack "solid" food any way you want.  There are no particular restrictions except if it's considered a "gel" like pudding, yogurt or jello, in which case the container must be 3 oz. or less.

If there is room, I would put the pudding in with the 1 quart bag along with your other liquids, but the guidelines don't say it has to be there (only beverages).

Make sure your _container_ of juice is also 3 oz or less.  They won't let you take a half filled 6 oz bottle for example.

  2. You can take the pepperoni rolls and granola bar, but the pudding cup is a little iffy. I would leave it. What you really should do is just buy a lunch from inside the airport.

  3. I took homemade cookies on the plane along with granola bars and and a penut butter sandwich so i wouldn´t starve(cuz we hadn´t ordered vegan food) and it was fine. I´d keep the food in your carry on, and i´d leave the pudding cups if I were you, if you really want to you could ask before you get on the plane.
