  1. I would contact US Airways for advice.  Each airline has its latest time for check in before a flight and some airports take longer to get through security than others. The airline can tell you when check in will open as well. Some times of day are busier than others for flights and for traffic delays getting to the airport.

For international flights my wife and I allow at least three hours before flight time as our latest time to arrive at the airport.  Check in usually opens about 2 hours before departure time and passengers will be waiting for check in to open to try to get the best seats available.

Plan to be at the airport well before the recommended time to avoid the stress from traffic delays.  This way you can relax and enjoy the airport amenities preflight. Have time for duty free shopping etc. After all it is your first flight. Have a great experience.

  2. Probably be 2 hours early so you can prepare for everything and have enough time to check in, shop if you need to and get ready for a long flight.

  3. http://waittime.tsa.dhs.gov/index.html

That will give you a wait time estimate, based on where you are located, and what your destination is.

There are also lots of tips on flying and what you can and can't bring on the airplane.

    Safe travels to you!

  4. It usually takes me about an hour to get through the airport, but I'm quick and don't waste anytime putzing around what-so-ever.

Most people are about 2 hours early because they don't want to risk something going wrong...  flat tire, etc...

  5. get to the airport very early like 5 hours so you get there your not stressed everythings done etc etc sit and wait till check in i dunno how early it is but airports recommend you check in at least three hours earlier. happy flying

  6. For domestic flights, airlines recommend being there two hours early.  For international, three.

  7. I would be there at least 2-3 hours before the flight is scheduled to leave to get through bag checking, security, etc.

  8. I would suggest arriving at the airport an hour and a half to two hours before your flight.

    Have a safe flight.
