  1. If you've never been drunk before - I can tell you right now that it sucks!  Being drunk involves being totally out of control of your words and actions, throwing up, and having a terrible headache the next day.  Why would you set out to deliberately get drunk?

The best way to handle alcohol is to drink until you have a "buzz" which means you are happy and enjoying yourself, you can feel the effect, but you are still in control.  If you are in a country where the drinking age is more than 17 - be smart, and don't involve anyone else in procuring alcohol for you.  If you are legally able to drink, or if you are with your parents - then experiment with a small amount, like one beer, or one mixed drink, until you know how it will hit you.

  2. there are heapsa killjoys answering this question aye?

far out jus let the guy get drunk for the first time.

i was 14 when i first got wasted and i had beer and vodka. i reckon the same as the guy a couple of answers up who said stick with beer, then you wont get drunk real fast and coma.

have fun =] .  which you will..

  3. If you drink to get drunk, you are abusing alcohol.  There is not much good that can happen when you get drunk.  Wait until you're old enough and then try various drinks in moderation to see how they make you feel and if you enjoy them.  Always stay in control and use alcohol responsibly and in moderation.

  4. What's with all these haters?  God, let the kid have some fun.  In any other civilized country he would've been drinking for years by now.

I would definetly reccomend you drink a 6 pack of some regular strength beer.  Liquor would be too easy to get wasted too fast, end up sick, or worse.  Stick with beer until you get a sense of what you can handle.

Now, in terms of what beer to drink.  Most people your age would stick with a light beer.  This is utter garbage.  Don't even waste your time.  Bud Light, Miller Lite, Coors Light are all 4.2% ABV.  What's the point.  Amstel Light, and Heineken Light are 3.2% ABV.  You could drink that all day and be fine.  Regular Bud, Coors, Miller, Heineken are all 5.0%.  Well, that might work, but I can't reccomend you drink anything that horrible.  You might as well go ferment horse urine yourself.

Now, with that said, I think a lager is easier to start with than an ale.  And you would want a regular strength easy drinking lager.  While Sam Adams is a good lager, it's a bit strong in flavor and you probably wouldn't like it.  Fighting your way through 5 or 6 of these would probably not be a fun thing for you to do.  I would go with Killian's.  It may look dark, but it's basically just a coloring.  It's also a lot better than Bud, Miller, Coors (although Coors makes Killians).  Plus, it's easy to find and cheap.

All you need is a 6 pack.  Drink however much you want from it, with 6 you'd be fairly drunk, but not in danger of being sick or ending up in a hospital.  After about 3 you should be feeling something.  You may not know what to think of it, but that's probably a buzz.  I think it's easy to misinterpret what a buzz is for a first time drinker.  With experience you'll understand what a buzz is.  Believe it or not, you don't need to drink a whole bottle of vodka to get a little buzz.

  5. well my first time i got drunk w/ hard liquor but not pure mixed it w/ soda! and a few shots !! i think beer tastes gross but most guys like it!

  6. Please wait until you're of legal age...What's the rush!?!?

  7. Have fun throwing your life down the drain.  I wish I were there to cheer you on!

  8. I would highly recommend not drinking to get drunk.  Best scenario: it will not be a pleasant experience.  Worst case scenario: you go to the hospital or worse.

That said, if you absolutely must, here is my advice in the interest of keeping you from getting yourself into a bad situation.  Since you do not know how alcohol affects you, stay away from the liquor.  It is strong and you are apt to completely overdo it.  If you go with beer, it will be slightly less dangerous; it is not as strong and there are physical limits (stomach size) to how much you can ingest.  It will be harder (though not impossible) for you to kill yourself.

Whatever you do, be smart and be careful.  I would also recommend having at least one responsible person with you who stays sober and who can step in if things get out of hand.

  9. My first time getting drunk I had a lot of coolers and beer... but I didn't know I was going to get drunk that night, haha. I wold suggest beer because it will be easy for you to drink and easier for you to get drunk. You could also take shots of vodka if you want.. but make sure you have a drink to chase with.

  10. too young....why do young people "plan" on getting drunk?

  11. Too young to drink.  Just wait until you are 21.

  12. Beers...definitely.

Don't try the hard stuff until you have mastered beer.

Have fun and please drink responsibly and do not drive!

  13. Brilliant move, dude. Asking about how to do something illegal on the Internet.

  14. Definitely go with the beer. I know I shouldn't really be helping you out cause im younger than you haha but i've been drinking for a while and Beer is definitely the safe way to go. Basically because it hits you at a slower rate then liqour does. I'm not saying you cannot get completely wasted with beer, but it is just a smarter way to go for a first time drinker.

  15. i had mine with hard...

kid, you are young, wait some more...

and what's wrong with people nowadays "planning" on getting wasted only to complain of a major headache the following morning...
