  1. Congrats on the hookup. What I admire about female golfers or spectators on teh golf course is their fashion awareness. They tend to be colored coordinated and well dresses (most women). If its hot out, wear a sleeveless polo shirt, tailored cut or dress shorts and a nice pair of tennis shoes. Remember that the game can take anywhere from 4 -6 hours depending on the course and day of week. Bring something to keep yourself from getting bored.

  2. A pair of shorts that cover up that which should be covered, a polo shirt (or a Jonny collar shirt), a pair of running shoes or trainers will be more than fine.

A visor is a good idea, as is bringing sunscreen (and depending on where you're located, bug repellent).  I keep sunscreen and repellent in my golf bag at all times during the summer months.

Most courses have water stations every few holes (if it's super hot, bring a bottle with you and just fill it up as you go along; it's what a lot of golfers do).

As for ettiquette, just avoid making noise when the other golfers are hitting their shots (if you have a cell phone and/or blackberry, set these on silent mode, or at least vibrate- it's not fun when you're trying to hit a shot and someone's mobile phone goes off).

Good luck; hope you have a good time!

  3. Go for answer 2 and wow him!!

  4. Visor, golf glove, cleats, and nothing else.  A lot of courses won't let you out on the course without playing.

  5. Hey!  I think it's a valid question.  I'm just starting to golf myself and figuring out appropriate attire for each course is tricky.  I've been overdressed and slightly underdressed already, depending on how nice the course is.  You may want to look the course up online and read their dress code.  Even if you're not golfing yourself, you should dress appropriately so you fit in.

I'd wear nice khaki shorts, like knee-length bermudas if you have them.  Otherwise capris would work well.  A sleeveless polo would be a perfect top for hot weather, since you should generally wear a collared shirt.  Women can sometimes get away with shirts that aren't collared, though, if it's a nice top.

Don't be afraid to wear bright colors!  Top off the outfit with a visor and cute sneakers that match, and you'll be all set.

Have fun, and bring sunscreen, bug spray, water, and a book (especially if the guy's going to play 18 holes).  I hope it goes well!  If it does, have him take you to a driving range and then start to play with him.  Golf's a ton of fun, and most people I play with don't mind teaching me.

  6. Your just going to ride around on the Golf cart?

    Hahaha.

I think this guy would be more impressed if you actually played.  & Didn't act like a dumb blonde.

Your going golfing, not walking down the runway.

There is a Golf course dress code...

Your supposed to wear a polo shirt and khakis...

Golf shoes, or tennis shoes, but try to wear Golf shoes or Pumas because you will look ridiculous if you don't.

Visors are always a benefit to have.

Since your just sitting in the cart, I might take a helmet... you will understand when you get there.

  7. any female that answers this will hate on you (thats what girls do to each other) but just be yourself and DONT be afraid of dressing S****y.  I dont know a single guy that has EVER said "hey that girl dresses S****y".  You will probably end up swinging a few clubs that day or putting a few and im guessing you will start playing soon.  Bottom line, be yourself, have fun an stay calm.  Live for today, tomorrow isnt promised
