how long is it in hours from toronto to calgary and what are the average ticket prices?(by air) i heard you can go by train, is that true? if so, how much is it and how long does that take? thank you!!!

Toronto is two hours ahead of Calgary. The bus or train will cost around $150, flying one way will be about $350.

It's a 2 hr flight, and ticket prices vary depending on where you purchase them.  Yes you can go by train as well, I think it takes about 4 days.  Again I'm not sure of the ticket price you would have to call a travel agency for that.  Shop around for pricing and pay attention to the type of flight.  There are what is called the red eye flight which is an over night flight and there are stand by flights which if there is an open seat on the flight, they call you and you will have to get there immediatly to get the flight.  Hope this helps.  Welcome to Canada!

there are two airlines that fly that route

either will cost you $250-$400 round trip if booked 10 days in advance.  sometimes you can get lucky and get for cheaper. Fly on tuesday, wedneday or thursday for cheapest flights.   There is a two hour time difference and a three hour flight so when travelling west you get there one hour after your departure time.  

Drive time if by car is about 42 hours.  With gas prices flying probably cheaper.

You can take the train but its not much cheaper than air plus you have to feed yourself on the 3 days trip.

Greyhound http://www.greyhound.ca is the cheapest but its a 4 day and nite journey and pretty boring way of travel.

Check out and research the prices online. Train is faster. The grey hound bus is cheap.
