  1. well i would say natural coloured eyeshadow (skin tone)

*p.s. for the eyeliner you can just put it on you eyelashes (like where they start) this is i guess the first step to put on eyeliner when your not comfortable and if i'm right it doesn't look to bad (make sure you have makeup remover just in case) have your sis or mom help you

  2. Clinique is best for first time make-up wear-ers.  It doesn't have a lot of extra "stuff" so it won't clog your pores, and it is the best for your skin.  Go to a local dillards or macy's Clinique and they can have a representative do your make-up and you can decide what you do and don't want.  I'd start with a tinted moisturizer, gloss, blush, and a little mascara until you get used to doing your makeup everyday.

  3. If you haven't been wearing foundation, you probably don't need it. If you do need foundation get a mineral foundation. Maybelline sells one and there are also many other mineral foundations out there. (everyday minerals (internet only) and bare minerals which are expensive). Also if you don't want to wear a foundation, just buy a concealer which you could use just to conceal a couple of spots.

If you have light eyelashes then with any eyeshadow you'd probably want some mascara. There are many different formulas from many different brands, it all depends if you want long, curly, or thick eye lashes. Best bet would be just to browse.

An eyeshadow base is important if you want your eyeshadow to last all day. I absolutely love Urban Decay Primer Potion, but it is a little pricey ($16). It's worth it. There's also Loreal De-Crease which is about $8. I don't think it's as good, but it'll work. Also you could use any cream shadows or eyeshadow sticks, but they don't work as well.

Eyeshadow is really up to you what colors you prefer. If you want a nice palette they sell nice ones at coastalscents.com, but they go in and out of stock quickly. They have very bright colors and they last long. Also there's nyx shadows which are very pigmented. If you get a base almost any eyeshadow will a lot better. I've heard that the new covergirl ones are good, but I haven't tried them.

Lip stuff is mostly preference. If you're new to makeup, I'd stick to glosses for a while. There are so many colors to choose from. I like Loreal HIP and Maybelline. More expensive brand that is good is Stilla.

Blush isn't extremely important, but can brighten up your face. Milani has great blushes and so does covergirl.

As for eyeliner, get a cheap eyeliner (NYC or Wet N' Wild) and practice. They don't last long, but they're cheap and will be easy to use for practice.

The last thing you need are MAKE UP BRUSHES! These are extremely important. They have good ones at coastal scents for a cheap price and are good quality. There are essence of beauty ones at CVS that are also good. Sonia Kashuk (SP?) from Target are extremely soft and will last. The brushes you would need are a big powder brush for foundation if you choose to use foundation, a blush brush if you decide to use blush, and an eyeshadow brush.

I would start out with mostly drugstore brands and get more expensive brands if you really like get into makeup, but for now check websites like makeup alley or youtube for great reviews on makeup so when buying makeup from drugstores you get the best quality. There are many videos on youtube that review products and give you ideas for good makeup investments.

This is a great video telling what you need for a makeup starter kit (high end and low end)

    My top makeup to buy:

    eyeshadow base

    eyeshadow

    lip gloss

    makeup brushes

    concealer

    optional based on preference

    eyeliner

    mascara

    foundation

I hope that helped you and have fun experimenting with makeup. Again if you look on youtube there are many people that do fun looks that you can do at home. (xsparkage, monroemisfitmakeup) Enkoremakeup and pursebuzz give lots of tips for beginners. Use the internet as your friend, you can find almost anything you want to learn about makeup here! That's how I've learned a lot of things. :D

  4. first of all:

you need foundation. i recommend mac products but if that is out of your budget, try almays foundation.

you also need a light pink blush. i like neutrogena blushes because they have lots of beneficial ingredients

you also need lip gloss. try a pink lip gloss from covergirl.

    thats all

  5. Try brands like Revlon, Maybelline, Maxfactor, Rimel, Australias you can get them at like kmart, target etc.

Try first wearing tinted moisturiser to get even soft skin. Nivea Visage make a really nice fresh one.

Then try curling your eyelashes. For a first time try using a heated one so you just stroke it up like mascara [david jones have one for around $25] Then apply around two coats of mascara starting from base to the end. Try Maybelline Define A Lash.

Also put some moisturiser on your eye lids, then apply some cute eyeshadow in pink or green.

Then apply lipgloss, really simple and pretty :)

  6. Start with the basics, like foundation, lip gloss/stick, lip balm (like chapstick or BURT'S BEES <- THE BEST) and mascara.

For foundation and mascara, I recommend maybelline's kind because even though it's cheap, their mascaras & foundation is gooood.

For mascara I use the colossal and sky high curves and will get Max Factor's 2000 calorie one and Benefit Badgal Lash, but you can just get whatever and for foundation I used to use Pure Liquid Foundation from them, it evened out my skintone and it doesn't do anything bad at all to your skin, 50% of it is water instead of oil. I have also heard their mineral foundation is prolly the best you can get at a drugstore!

Get burt's bees lip balm, omg it's the best, cannot function without it lol!  For some cheap lip gloss (you should try it before you try lipstick)  try Wet N Wild stuff (it's cheap, only like 2 bucks) or Sally Hansen Diamond Lip Treatment for about 5 bucks.  It's so nice and shiny I use it to highlight my lips to make it plumper. :)

After you get those down, you can move on to more things like blush, bronzer, eyeshadow, primer, highlights, concealer, etc etc.  Just ease your way into it! :) I know you'lll get it eventually lol.

    Good luck!

  7. it depends on what kind of look your going for

you should definetly go to a pro MAC makeup store they have pros that can help you out.

if you go to www.maccosmetics.com you can look up a store near you i think

idk google it lol but they can really help yuou out and their makeup is AMAZING

  8. bare minerals foundation is AMAZING! look for it at sephora! they have it there. it makes skin look flawless.

and if you go to sephora, they teach you how to put on eyeliner. im 13 and im already an expert at it, its really easy, the lady at sephora showed me how. you put it on wear your eyelashes come out, maybe even a little above. [im talking about under the eye eyeliner.]

lip gloss is nice from victorias secret.

and eyeshadow to me is kinda tacky, idk.....

    hope i helped! :)

  9. You should start out wearing mascara, and foundation.

For both of those, I use CoverGirl.

I've been wearing makeup for about a year now, and don't have much

interest in eyeshadow, but that is your own choice.

But, with the whole eyeline thing,

    it takes practice,

maybe go buy some like .99 cent wet and wild eyeliner and practice with it when you have nothing

    better to do?

Have your friends, who wear eyeliner help you out?

But don't get into eyeliner right away, anyway.

    Start out slow,

    Foundation.

    Mascara.

    Eyeshadow.

    Eyeliner.

    So on..

    goooodluckkk (:

  10. There is soooo much makeup out there so you'll have to try a lot to find the one that is good for you. Go in the makeup aisle at the store, like target or if you have an Ulta near you go there. Get a foundation (I use Loreal's Infallible) and also get some powder, either loose or compact. I use Loreal for that too. If you want to wear mascara try Maybelline they have good ones and they also have good eye shadows

Good Luck! and remember less is more, you don't want to look like a clown
