  1. Your baby and/or your body aren't ready yet.  Be glad that you were sent home.  Some doctors would have broken your water as part of the induction. Then you would have ended up with a c-section.

  2. walk walk walk clean the house sweep the carpet and 50% effaced means that ur cervix is softening and the baby is turning to the right position 1 cm dialated means thats how far ur cervix is opened but u have to be 10 to deliver!! Good luck and remember not to over do urself

  3. If your cervix isn't opening with help, then your body isn't ready. They can't force it, if it's not ready. Unless your child is in danger, you will just have to wait it out. Take this time to do lots of walking and getting ready for baby.

  4. As people have said your body just wasn't ready. Be glad, too. They broke my water with my induction and I was in labor for 16 hours without making good progress so I needed a C-section.

  5. Apparently your cervix did not respond very well to the gel treatments.  Instead of giving you an IV with Pitocin, they decided to send you home to see if you'll go into labor after the treatments.  This may actually be a good thing, as the Pitocin makes labor come on hard and fast.  Your doctors are attempting to let nature take its course.  So, you might try the normal things we suggest on here... s*x, nipple stimulation, walking, eating spicy foods, squatting... etc.  A nice warm bath might also do you some good.

  6. Your just not ready yet ... see by them doing all that, if your body was ready then it would of kicked in gear... they cant really "force" mother nature ya know? but they can help it along.. I would just do Lott's of walking, and lots of s*x. Relax its ok it will happen.. I know I have had 3 kids all induced, and was sent home with 1 of them like you. I went back with major pain because of the contractions were just to unbelievable! so I was a baby of course... but he was born that next day. GL and God Bless

  7. jeez thats harsh you poor doll! Why the heell have they put you through 6 gels, thats crazy. Have they said if you are dilated enough for your waters to be broken? That would really move it on if so.

Again I feel for you, both my labours were inductions and one things for sure you are better off being at home until things really kick off, try and get loads of sleep as you will need all your energys for delivery.  If you cant sleep, watch some movies that will take your mind off things or have a friend over.  At home you wont feel the time pass as slowly and you have all your comforts

Your baby is just not ready yet but it will happen, a first baby is always that bit more stubborn.  I wish you all the best and before you know it you will be holding your beautiful baby

    x*x

  8. its pretty self explanatory..

  9. How far along are you?

  10. try papaya(ripe) they say its good whe your far along bu cause it use contractions and herbal oils. massage your feet and ankle( well have you man do it foryou.) There are certain pressure points that can get things started.

  11. baby isnt ready yet....it would help to know how far along you are aswell.

how the h**l is that thumbs down??

DR. phil hopes common sence is gonna make a come back this year...i guess he is hoping for too much eh.
