This morning I used the restroom and wiped myself and saw brownish blood with what seemed like mucus. Then I worked 9 hours today and noticed that I had a quarter-sized spot of blood as well when I got home. Is it normal? I really want to be a mom and the sight of blood scares me because I've miscarried earlier this year. Please help.

  1. slight spotting is ok, as long as it is not accompanied by cramping

    .

  2. Well..not to scare you, but that may be what's happening. I started spotting on a Thursday afternoon and it took 2 days before my hormone level had dropped and the doctor informed me that I had lost the baby. He put me on bed rest Thursday night but it was already in the process.

Hopefully it isn't anything and you are fine!

    Best wishes to you!

  3. If that was me i would go the the doctor today

  4. The blood was brownish in color on both occasions, right? That is a good sign, it means that you were shedding old blood rather than new. If it were bright red (new blood) that would be very bad. If you haven't experienced any cramping and bleeding has been small in amount then it's probably fine.

Sometimes, a woman's body will try to shed the lining of her uterus even though she is pregnant. This can cause spotting. It's perfectly normal and does not in danger the pregnancy.

  5. you could be. some women spot and miscarry, others bleed heavily and is okay....but since its red, i would go to the ER as that is fresh blood...but did your last miscarriage start off like this?

who gave me a thumbs down? its true!
