  1. While we have not personally been on this ship I am sure you would be happy with a Celebrity cruise.  Generally you will find that the cruise line will have recommended gratuities and you can prepay for those if you like so you don't have to worry about them while on the cruise.  If you are interested in working with one of our cruise specialists please feel free to email us your travel information or your can visit our website for additional information at bctravelcompany.com.  You can request a free quote or call us and we can put together several quotes for you to choose from based on your travel dates and itinerary preference.  We look forward to hearing from you.

  2. Celebrity is a great line and I'm sure you'll enjoy the ship.  The cruise line will have lots of activiites on board as you will not be making many stops.  Food is good and plentiful as is entertainment.

Clothes - Don't know if you're male or female. Casual clothes will be fine for the day, you may have to dress for dinner on some nights, and, if you plan on being on deck, bring something warm with a hood (a hat/cap will fly off).  It will be windy on deck and most of the time you will not be able to lay out around the pool - just too cold in the Atlantic.  If there are tropical storms or hurricanes moving across the S. Atlantic, the ship will also take a much more northern route.  If the ports in and around FL are inaccessible due to weather you might end up as far north as NYC to dock.  Please make sure you have travel insurance purchased that will cover itinerary change and hurricanes (Travelex or Travel Guard will be your best bet).  You might also contact the cruise line and ask for their recommendations.

With regards to gratuites, the ship will add about $11/person / day to you stateroom account for gratuities that will be distributed among the crew.  On the last night, when you receive your bill - you may add to the gratuities.  I guess you can also reduce the gratuities if you've received poor service, but $11-15 per person per day is reasonable when you remember that this is a tip for your waiter, the busboy, your room steward and probably some others.  They work very hard and this is the brunt of their salary.  This amount is extremely low when you consider all they do.
