My first rent was for a bedroom in a shared house at £65 a week, then moved to a 1 bedroom flat at £85 a week and now live in a 2 bedroomed flat for £525 a month!

About 6 years ago in London....just under £600 a month for a one bedroomed flat.

It was near a mainline station/interchange, which bumped the price up.
