  1. snowboard, its so much more fun!

  2. First don't get frustrated. Second, either take lessons or learn from a friend. Only ski on a green run (green being the easiest run you can go on), unless you get really good (and I mean really good) that day you can go on blues or blacks. The first time I went skiing I wasn't that good. Make sure you wear a helmet. Depending on where you go watch out for crazy snowboarders. Make sure you have good equipment and warm clothes, because if you're cold you'll get frustrated. Don't get poles unless you know how to do nice clean turns. If you don't know how to turn you can ski pizza (pizza is where you don't turn and go straight down, do this by putting the tips of your ski's a couple inches apart you'll go slower that way). Don't cut people in line at the lifts. If its your turn in line wait for the chair lift in front of you and then go. If you don't wanna break anything don't do to fast, also don't go on jumps or moguls (moguls are a series of "bumps" all in one place).

  3. I would suggest taking a lesson & rent your equip. Most ski resorts will over a price combo. which includes your lift ticket, equip. rental & lessons. Some offer group lessons & they're cheaper. Your other alternative is to find a friend that has skied before & let them give you tips. Most skiers can teach a beginner.

  4. Get hammered before the first time you go. That way your body will be relaxed like a drunk driver they never get hurt in an accident because hey are so loose. I figure you're going to be falling anyway, might as well feel good while doing it and untens enoughto not snap anything.

  5. either take lessons or stay on the easiest runs and learn by trial and error

  6. Take lessons from a qualified professional instructor.  Rent your equipment, the boot must fit TIGHT around your foot and ankle, but still wiggle your toes. Only your foot and sock should be in your boot, no jeans or ski pants.  Dress in several thin layers include a loose weave sweater, hat or helmet that covers your ears, a warm ski jacket, ski pants and gloves or mittens that are well insulated. Relax, enjoy the sport, make new friends and allow that this is a new sport for you and it will take some time to master.  You didn't learn to ride a bicycle in an hour, did you?

Also take some dancing shoes and a swimsuit.

  7. First thing that you should learn is braking. (gently sloping hill).

When you have enough experience of braking with Different styles, then you should learn the swerves. Use smallest hills ONLY before you go to harder place.

+Learn that how to fall (nicely way) and you won't hurt yourself. Sometimes speed is so high that the best option is to fall. (So learn to fall with purpose and find  the right way to fall nicely

    Sorry my bad English

  8. Take a lesson from one of the professionals.  They'll show you the basics and help get you going for a couple hours.  Then you have the rest of the day to practice and enjoy yourself.  Don't get frustrated if you fall, I've been skiing for years and still fall from time to time.
