  1. Cayo Coco then if you want relaxation and not a party scene. Although you can still have enjoyable nightlife there too.

I love Cayo Coco. I think you just posted a question for an adults only resort in Varadero. If you're considering Cayo Coco, Tryp Cayo Coco is one of the nicest resorts along that beach strip. Many have experienced the other resort there and wished they were at Tryp. The entertainment, the staff, the food, the activities are very enjoyable and top quality. I've walked the whole beach strip and Cayo Coco is livelier (yet relaxing at the same time). And the beauty of the resort is open, breezy, fresh and bright. Not closed in and dark like other places. There are no winding roadways or paths throughout the resort...it's all open-concept starting from the lobby and down throughout. However, it's not an adults only resort (although the kids don't interfere there, from my experience).

But if you soley want adults only, then consider Meliá Cayo Coco. It's an adults only resort now...5* like the Princesa del Mar that I recommended for Varadero. And you can book rooms that are built on stilts over a saltwater laguna (lagoon).

Compare both resorts...Tryp and Meliá (both from the same chain, Sol Meliá) and see what you prefer. Plus the resorts are a 15 minute drive from the airport.

If you still want to visit Havana, the resorts offer a day trip (via plane, about an hour flight) or an overnighter from Cayo Coco. It's a nice way trip to take.

  2. VARADERO IS THE 2ND MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACH IN THE WORLD I THINK CANCUN IS THE FIRST ONE

  3. That being the case Cayo Coco however it's quite a distance from Havana, if you want to see Havana, my suggestion would be Varadero.

  4. I would definetly say Cayo Coco. Ive been to Varadero and its much more "outgoing". There are less resorts in Cayo Coco so its quieter:) Plus its on an island off the mainland of Cuba.

However if your looking for a REALLY relaxing holiday, try Cayo Santa Maria which is also a island off the coast of Cuba. I was there this past August and all I can say is WOW. The natural surroundings are out of this world. There were only 3 resorts on the island all owned by the Melia chain. They are starting to expand and build a massive Barcelo resort down the beach but that wont be ready for awhile. I highly recommend checking this place out. When we were on the bus to our resort the rep said that we are fornunate to be visiting this island before it gets extremly built up like Varadero. You fly into the mainland and its about a 90 minute bus ride where you drive over many causeways to get there. I stayed at the Melia Cayo Santa Maria which is adults only now. On both sides of it there is the Sol Cayo Santa Maria and Melia Las Dunas. The Las Dunas is the newest out of the three but they are all very nice.

    Have a great vacation!
