First time to Umbria, Italy can anyone guide me the best deal for accomodation. I will be leaving to Umbria by the mid of next month. Accomodation should be nearby some great chill out spots of Umbria.

My favourite spot in Umbria is Spoleto!

If you want a bigger city with more action you could check out Perugia.

I use the venere.com site for booking accomodations here in Italy. http://en.venere.com/italy/ You can select a particular area within a given city and sort by price, rating, or other criteria. Most places have reviews by past guests to help you get a feel for the listing before you book.

There are over 30 choices in Perugia. I like to stay in the old town at te top of the city, the Hotel Europa is nice, but the Chocolate hotel near the station sounds interesting too: http://en.venere.com/hotels_perugia/staz... I may try it the next time I'm in Perugia.
