  1. Im flying Southwest too,  this Thursday!!

Im also a first time flyer..

Im doing the 24 hour check in thing..and hoping to be with group A

I think I will take row 4 or 5 if available.

and the aisle..so I dont feel so enclosed.

    Im nervous though.

  2. Southwest doesn't have assigned seats. Here's what you do: 24 hours (exactly) before your flight leaves, log on using your flight information. You will be able to print your boarding pass and on that boarding pass will be a letter from A-D (I think it's D) The A's board first, B's second and so on. If you wait until you get to the airport to get your boarding pass, you will probably be sitting way in the back right in front of the toilet. The closer you can get to 24 hours prior to flight-time, the better your chances are for getting a better letter and getting a better seat. As for where to sit, I'm kinda strange about that. I like to sit as close as possible to the emergency exits. Since you're only 15, they probably won't allow you to sit in one of the seats right next to the exit because those people have to help others get out in case of an emergency. But you could sit really close to it. You'll be fine. Southwest is a great airline to fly.

  3. Southwest doesn't use seating charts.  Depending upon your place in the boarding line, you can choose any seat you want.  Don't sit in the first row as it has smaller leg room. If you want to look out a window, try for a window seat in the first 1/3 of the seats or the last 1/3, as the wings will block most of the view in the second 1/3.  Carry-on luggage must be able to fit into the overhead compartment or under the seat. Checked luggage now costs $12-$18 per bag, depending upon the airline. This is the luggage that goes into the cargo hold of the plane.  In-flight snacks are no longer provided, so you might want to take some with you (stay away from salty snacks to make you thirsty). Take a book, crossword puzzles, or other things to occupy your time, if you don't want to look out a window.  Happy flying.

  4. seat is explained in the plane only there is no need to have fear any where in the plane

  5. Southwest is kinda whoever gets their first gets the best seats. My suggestion would be to get to the front of the line so you can get on first. Now you have 2 option here, if you want to get off faster at the end of the flight, sit up front, but if you want a view, dont sit over the wing, basically, stay away from the middle! But, dont sit near the bathrooms, that will just bug you. Have fun and enjoy your first flight!

  6. aisle! aisle! aisle! people always suggest the window seat, but having to disturb the other people in your aisle every time you wanna get up is really uncomfortable...plus you won't have to yell across them whenever you want to get the stewardess's attention
