  1. Negril

    Negril

    Negril

    :-)

  2. My husband and I always stay at a Sandals Resort.  You're guaranteed to be taken care of, food & drinks, clean and the poeple who work on property are the friendlies you could imagine.  Check out the Royal Caribbean if you like a little more quieter of a resort, check our Negril or even Dunns River Falls Resort if you like the night life.  Both have beautiful beaches.  I am going to the Whitehouse Resort next month but I'm sure it is beautiful as well, (adjacent to a 500 acre nature preserve).  The Montego Bay property is okay - wouldn't really recommend it, though, its right next to the airport and noisy.

  3. I went all around the island its all great if you decide to go to only one place negril is great for the tanning and sunsets Ricks cafe is awsome and Legends has a great beach. great drive from port royal/kingston area or from montego bay. The food is awsome everywhere on the island.

  4. I've been to Ocho Rios and Negril.  Flew into Montego Bay and took a bus twice and flew once (to Negril).   The bus trips are enjoyable - you'll get a history of the island and see some beautiful homes tucked away among the shacks built into the hills.

I always have stayed at Couples.

As far as where to stay - from what I've been told, Montego is the least expensive part of the island where it's mainly jungle or garden resorts not beachfront, Ocho is mid-price and Negril is high-end. Negril has the best beach of all three - Seven Mile Beach.  The sun is awesome, the water is beautiful and depending on your resort you will always have something to do - even if it's lying on the beach with a cold cocktail!  If you are going with your significant other Couples is a great place - all adult couples only resort.  No screaming kids or partying teens.  Serene, all inclusive and you get pampered!  I loved all three visits there and can't wait to go back!  Always came back with a rocking tan!!  have a blast!!

  5. sandals

  6. Oh you are going to love it sooooo much!  We always stay at Sandals Negril.  The beach, food, drink, people all wonderful.  Scuba and water sports are great and, of course all included.  The ride from the airport takes about 1 1/2 hrs.  Take a deep breath and enjoy the view.  They drive on the opposite side of the road and the roads are curvy and bouncy and every one loves to blow their horns.  Lot's of things to see and many of the drivers are quite knowledgeable of the history and the sights.

Bring your manners with you and you'll get exceptional service.  Respect is very important.  Go to tripadvisor.com to see what recent visitors had to say about their experiences there or any other resort your interested in.

Can't wait to go back in a few months.  Enjoy!

  7. alot of people been telling me a place called treasure beach aparently near negril

  8. check out www.treasurebeach.net

We stay on the south sie of the island. The beaches are virtually emtpy. The sand is so soft. Look into at staying at Jakes. It is a botique resort. This part of the island is my favorite.  The ride there from MoBay takes about 2.5 hours including a stop at Border Jerk to get something to eat and some beer. You will be able to hire a driver from the area  to meet you at the airport and it cost about $100. Our first 2 trips to JA were in Ochi. It was busy. Negril is full of tourists. The southside is nice, quite and safe.

  9. I agree with some of these people, i have been to negril  twice and i am going back again on Tuesday for 2 weeks, i stayed at sandals negril last time i went but i would recommend Sunset at the palms, u get ur own private room on stilts, u get more of that authentic feeling that u dont get when u go to the big resorts.

  10. well am jamaica the best place too go is negril montego bay ocho rios nice place if you a couple you could stay and sandals
