  1. First timing id prolly get the basic lesson

kinda expensive but it helps teach you how to stop, turn get u p after crashing and stuff.

But if you have a friend that knows how dont waste money on a lesson. Also the bunny hills can be good and bad id go on it like 3 times and have a friend take you to a longer run at the top of the mountain(a really easy one, green circle) that way youll learn way faster. Plus the bunny hill gets hard nsow from so many poeple on it and its filled with lots of poeple that dont know what there doing.

Dont get discouraged cuz i guarentee you will fall but once oyu get the hang of it is is so much fun

    Have fun :]

  2. determination, good attitude... all thats really important

and just be CAREFUL when you fall... dont put your hands out in front of you, great way to break a wrist or 2- instead use your forearms to break your forward falls, and your butt to break most of the others.

Wrist braces are sometimes helpful.  I was paranoid about breaking a wrist so i wore em till I was confident enough to not need em anymore.  Just a thought.

A lesson the 1st time you go is always helpful... and then if you want more, you can always go for more, or if you get the basics after that 1st lesson just start messing around on your own.

Try and meet (nice) experienced boarders when youre up there.  They can be so helpful for little tips to help you along the way.

Also, most importantly, dont just fall and sit right in the middle of the mountain unless you really need to sit.  All that does is p**s the skiiers off to no end, and gets annoying to the more experienced guys who are flying down the hill and might not see you over that next bump.  Ive run into more people that way- then they look at me like whyd you do that?? Just didnt see em till it was too late!

    Have fun and good luck!!

  3. First off.. you need to go at least 3 times before you decide whether you like it. Unless you can skateboard its awkward to stand sideways down the mountain so you spend the first day falling- A LOT! I bought aS* pads at the store and it was the best investment ever!!! Dont forget---RIDE OR DIE! First times rough but once you get the hang of it you cant stop.

  4. renting is the way to go why put out loads of cash and find out you don't like or suck at snowboarding
