  1. You will love it! And yes... you're Mom can come too.

All instructors are different, but I expect when  you arrive at the flying club, you will be introduced, then your instructor will tell you a little about what you will be doing, how long you will be airborne, and perhaps point out a few things you might see along the way.

You'll then be taken out to the aircraft where you will be shown around, perhaps even invited to watch over the initial checks on the ground... In any case, feel free to ask your pilot anything... instructors are always more than happy to explain things to anybody who is interested in flying!

Once in the cockpit, you will probably be shown how to fasten your harness and given the safety brief... much like in an airliner. You will then be asked to wait a while till the pilot gets clearance from ATC, starts the aircraft and taxi's to the runway etc... once airborne, you'll have a blast... I won't spoil it for you though!

Try and get your Mom to bring a camera too...

    Have fun!

  2. Yes you can bring your mom. Expect Your Instructor to go over what Flying Lessons is like etc and what to expect within the next few years and what he expects from you. You may even fly the plane.

    Good luck
