Question:

First trip with a 6 month old...advice?

My husband and I are going on our first mini-vacation with our 6 month old daughter. We are going with his parents and some friends and co-workers (my husband's dad is his boss).

We will be sleeping in a tent, though the other families are bringing campers, so if it starts to rain we can go inside with them.

Any advice on things we should bring for Emily's first trip away from home? I've already packed:

Formula & bottles

3 pacifiers (better to be safe than sorry!)

Baby food & spoons

Bibs & burp rags

Diapers & wipes

Several sets of clothes and socks

3 blankets (her taggie blanket, a lighter fuzzy blanket, and a heavier blanket)

Pack-and-play (and sheet for it)

Some toys

Bug spray

Bug net for carseat and stroller

Sunscreen

Tylenol

Orajel

Can anyone think of any other supplies that would necessary? We will be gone Friday morning through Sunday night.

Thank you for all your help!

  1. It sounds like you planned well.  The only thing I can think of is a teething ring and maybe a hat.  Don't forget the camera!  Have fun!!

(BTW... I honestly wasn't trying to be rude when I answered your last question.  That's the one subject that gets my blood boiling for some reason.  I didn't mean to come across as hateful though, I'm sorry if I did.)
