First week of the summer holidays gone, how has your week been?

Ours has been good, painting, swimming, friends over and spent a small fortune! What plans have you got for your kids this holiday, that are easy on the pocket?

Family bike rides, see a movie on cheap Tuesdays (don't know if you have that where you live), lots of game nights, backyard football, or other sports, visiting family/friends/neighbors, or have them visit.

We have just finished up our first month of summer break here and the kids and I have been busy (but having fun!).  We also have swimming 4-5 days a week (one child in swimming lessons, one in competitive swimming and the eldest is just a water monkey, lol),  the boys have football practice and my daughter has gymnastics and tumbling.  Along with this, we have their friends over/or they are at their friends.  

We don't have a lot planned this summer, as far as vacations go.  My kids have a longer spring break (3 weeks) so that's when we travel.  Most of our activities this summer are low cost.. crafts/painting (things I pick up on sale), cooking/baking,  walks by the river/lake,  picnics.. whatever comes to mind.

Actually my girls will just be starting on their "vacation" time from school, they go to year round school and were in school until Thursday.  Right now they are out in the pool out back.
