First win a cause of relief for Olympique de Marseille's Didier Deschamps – Ligue 1 news
Olympique de Marseille coach Didier Deschamps has expressed his relief at his side’s first win of the 2011/2012 Ligue 1 Championelle.

Pressure was intense on Deschamps’ side and the coach himself after Marseille lost to Lyon at the weekend. Ahead of the game against Evian, Marseille were rooted to the bottom of the Ligue 1 table and needed to deliver a victory in order to save face.
Deschamps is now understandably relieved after his side recorded a win over Evian who drew against Paris Saint-Germain at home at the weekend. Deschamps believes that the win against Evian would pave a way of a good season ahead for Marseille.
“Winning is always the best medicine. It will restore some confidence and serenity to the team. I saw a group concerned with the desire to do things better,” Deschamps said while talking to the media.

Didier Deschamps was particularly pleased with the atmosphere at the Stade Velodrome ahead of the game and said that he was surprised to see leniency from the fans before the game started.
