Well, im going fishing this monday with my friends to a park with some fish in it. And we wanted to know how can we get bait like worms, crickets, and other things. We've checked everywhere around my house and both my friends house and we only managed to find three. And we have no idea how to catch crickets as they only come out at night.is there any kind of easy trap we can make to catch them? Also , what kind of bait is good for all kinds of fishes as I dont know what kind of fish are in the park. And how can we make worms move to the top of the soil for easy picking? :)!

  1. You pour a lot water in a place with soil a little before night time. At night, you go outside and then you dig in the place where you pured the water and you will get night crawlers. Worms are good for any fish. You put the worms in a small container with dirt and a little bit of water. (Be sure to cover the top of the container.) Once you are at the park you might want to cut or rip the worms into smaller pieces so you don't use them all up. I haven't tried this but you could kill a fly and put it onto your hook and see if that catches anything. For crickets, here is a link:

  2. like someone said above corn,hot dogs or small balls of bread work just fine for panfish (bluegill,sunfish etc)

  3. use tacos

  4. It may surprise you to find out that Walmart sells worms in the fishing section in small containers kinda like a butter tub.  Be sure to open it and make sure they are alive though.  Sometimes they keep them so long that they die.  Reach into the back of the little refrigerator they keep them in and get the freshest one you can find.

    Walmart sells catfish bait and "stink bait" also.

    Your local sporting good store may sell these items too.

    Many times there are tackle shops or marinas near lakes and bodies of water where people fish.  Look for those too.  They will sell the items/bait that you need.

    Have fun and good luck!!

  5. Try checking around in the park by the water for your bait, or use lures. Small curlytailed grubs will catch just about anything and don't forget some small topwater (minnow baits)

    to get the adrenalin pumping. You can also hit up a bait & tackle shop on the way to the park. Good luck & tight lines!!!

  6. INSTEAD OF MAMBALING ON im going to anserw this question

    mix a little bit ofwashing up liquid with water and sprinkle on lawn in morning

    at bout 7pmish go and collect the worms the wash them in clear water

  7. go to walmart for worms and go to the fishing section they have a littel refrigerator with worms in it but if you want crickets go to petsmart or petco they always have crickets

    p.s. sorry i could not provide info on where to catch them because its realy hard i hope this was somewhat what you were looking for

  8. locate your nearest bait shop- they will have all the worms and crickets you need- check the yellow pages and call for their location.

  9. You can get worms in a local bait and tackle store, they will catch almost any thing bass, blue gills, catfish, and anything in the lake, you can also use biscuit dough and corn for blue gills.

    ```good catchin```
  10. If you have a chainsaw, start it up and set it on the ground. The vibration will force the worms to the top.
  11. Well for worms water your grass good right before sundown then go out at night with a flashlight and catch the worms out on the grass as for crickets if you have big rocks or other things laying around flip them over and catch the crickets that are hiding under them. another good bait for fish is grasshoppers you should be able to catch them in the back yard during the day.
    The number 1 bait for all kinds of fish is The Worm hands down.
  12. Go to the woods or even your back yard..lift things..look under them..can usually find worms....
    ALL fich eat worms...natural habitat...
  13. Most places will have panfish, which are fun and easy to catch.
    Try corn for panfish like bluegills, pumpkinseeds, perch and other panfish. It's easy and you won't have to make a trip to the bait store. If you're looking for crickets, try a pet store. Bluegills will also take hot dogs or balls of bread. To make worms come up out of the soil, turn the hose on in the yard and leave it on in one spot until you see some worms coming up for air.
  14. Worms catch alot of different things. When we was little, we had a garden . We would water the garden at dusk and a few hour later we would go out and catch a couple dozen. Now I just go to the bait store .
  15. if your looking for stuff around the house try bread. i have caught eveything on just a little piece of white bread rolled up in a ball. good luck : )
  16. Try getting some minnows with a little dipnet.
    Drop some bread or cracker crumbs or chum in the water and dip. Place the minnows in a sandwich bag without water (Keep them out of the sun... I usually throw a rag over the bag or keep the bag in the shade of the bucket)... Then go fishin'
    Any time you need more... Drop your crumbs and dip.
    If you don't have a dipnet or can't afford one, you can make one with pantyhose, a clothes hanger and some sort of stick.... It's doesn't have to be expensive to work.
  17. Worms are really good.
    But it all depends on what the fish eat. Is it a river? then use worms. Or spooners
    Is it a stream? use flies, or small fake worms
    Is it a pond? use fake worms
    is it a lake? Use spooners.
    Also you could buy something called "Essence of Nightcrawler", and make some cheese balls and soak them in the liquid, works well for stocked water.
  18. well simply your problem is to get the worms. It's simple go and get some fairy liquid squirt some down on the grass an wait. Eventually you will find worms coming to the surface. Or another way get some damp tea bags about four and make a den of them in your garden after an hour move the den and there's alot of juicy delicous worms.
  19. well almost every fish like worms! but there really isn't an easy way to get them to the top of the soil. but for the crickets i would just go outside at night and look by the edges of building with tall grass. they would probably be in there! also grasshoppers work well too! and for the bait shops i would just go on-line and look them up! here is what i would use....just click the link.
