I am getting a 10 gallon tank. I have no clue what kind of fish I want to get in the tank. All I know is that I want to have 2 female Betta's in it. What other fish can I put in with them that will look nice? List what kind of fish and how many.

  1. no one knows what fish are available in your area...

with 2 female bettas (great choice) there not too much room left for fish.

Remember a slightly understocked tank is 10 times easier to keep clean they a slightly overstocked tank.

If it where my tank I would let the bettas own the water and look at some bottom dwellers.

drop some pvc tubes or elbow joints in the water (ask dad) to act like caves (really cheap) and buy 5-9 pygmy cory cats.

Full grown there 1/2 inch long which makes them perfect for a 10 gallon

these guys are great and stick together like a family but they do swim around the tank a bit unlike other cory cats.

they will zip along the tank looking for goodies in the bottom.

feed them a complete food sinking tablet and they will be good to go.

    they guys are super cute

    good luck!!

  2. You can't just get two females or the more dominant one will focus all it's power on the lower one.  Get a trio instead.  Get lots of plant, especially floaters.  Some shrimp would look neat, or a school of 6 neon tetras.
