  1. we need more info

    fish type

    tank size

    etc

  2. Yeah we really need to know what these fish are???  Because if you put an aggressive fish in with peaceful fish the peaceful fish will stress out so bad that they will die if they are not separated.

  3. Wal-mart sucks. They take crappy care of their animals. I didn't even know they had fish until a month ago. Next time buy fish from someone who actually SPECIALIZES in selling pets and pet supplies

  4. What he was doing is called Flashing, it's a sign of illness. We dont have one in this country but from what i've heard wal-mart isn't a good place for pets, your other fish may all start experiencing this, you need to buy in some fish medicine

buy general fish medicine any you can find

    i also suggest methylene blue.

dont treat yet, treat when you get these symptoms:

    flashing

    white spots all over body

    torn/shredded fins

    red streaks in fins

    ulcers/red sores

    fuzzy white growths

    swimming without balance

    laying on bottom on tank

How big is you're aquarium? should be atleast 80 gallons if this is normal comet/common gfish you're talking about, im presuming these are goldfish because i know most about them lol, if they're not basicly the same thing applies.

if any more of them become sick and you think they're about to die do not take them out unless you are moving them to a different tank ok? because he might not have died, goldfish normally live a few days after these symptoms so you have time to cure them.

you need to quarantine any sick ones you see, you should have quarantined the ones you just bought as well as they will pass illness onto your other goldfish.

    =]

  5. you should be checking your nitrogen levels ie ammonia/nitrites/nitrates

if your tank is cycled they should be 0/0/15-40ppm

you may have gone through a mini cycle

  6. could be something from the water at wal-mart, I always get my fish at pet store because I know they've been treated well there, maybe the other fish atacked the one that's dying... I hope your fish gets better, I'm sorry

  7. I offer solace in your time of grief.

You should always quarantine new fish for at least a week before adding to your aquarium.  And when adding to the regular tank, don't add the water from the quarantine tank.

If all your fish die, you can give up on keeping fish, or start over.

  8. u should of went bk and got another fish and u should of told them what had happened but anyway......if it was a tropical fish that was prob the reason. cuz trop's needs  more care then a regular lets say gold fish.
